Tulip centerpiece

No Cricut used...my heart be still. Papercrafts without the Cricut?!?!? My husband reminded me it could be done, lol. Since I didn't have my cricut-baby until last November.  I wanted a quick hostess gift to give my sister's MIL who was having us for Easter dinner.

This is a very simple craft project to do.  Supplies:  cardstock, small dowel rod, green floral tape, double sided tape, easter grass, candle wax, sm. flower pot.
 (The Pot/Stem)
STEP 1: Cut your dowel rod 12 inches or size you need and wrap with floral tape.  Start at the top and work to the bottom.
STEP 2: Take old candles and microwave bowl until melted.  Pour into flower pot.
STEP 3: As wax sets up, put dowel rod in the center. (sorry I should have took a picture but I was rushing to get to dinner)
STEP 4: When the wax has set up with the dowel and is secure, fill with Easter grass and goodies.  (the sticker says "He has Risen".  It was the only yellow thing I could find on the fly)
(The Flower)
STEP 1: Free hand or use flower template ( of course there is always the cricut!)and cut out flower, cut small tag to go in the middle and cut peek-a-boo window in the flower if you choose.
STEP 2 : Use double sided tape and adhere outside edges of the flower together to make a pocket. Slide the dowel rod in and glue.
STEP 3:With a gold pen, write your little note.  If you have more time you can emboss, stamp, etc.  The sky is the limit.  (This is a very simple flower made quickly because we were late for dinner, and hubby was running me out the door, lol)

Last step is to put all the goodies in the grass.  To make the chocolate, check out this previous post.
I would love to see if you do a flower centerpiece :)

Building Block Graduation Card

Hello, everyone! Melissa here on to share a "building block" style card with you. I made this one graduation themed, since there are a ton of graduations going on right now. Hope you enjoy this card, and are inspired to try it out yourself. Here is the tutorial I followed from Split Coast Stampers. To make it easier, I will give you all the measurements, here. It looks harder than it is, I promise. Start with a piece of cardstock in your desired color that is 5.5 x 10.5. Put the 10.5 inch side along the top of your score board or paper trimmer, and score at 3.5 inches and 7 inches. Fold the first score line in a mountain fold, and the second in a valley fold. You should end up with a "z" fold card. The next part can get a bit tricky, so make sure you watch the video to fully understand what I am about to explain. On the back side of the "valley" fold, take a ruler and pencil and mark these measurements: 3/8 1 3/8 1 5/8 2 5/8 2 7/8 3 7/8 ...
